Base Built Services was founded on the premise that all architectural plans should be put together using high standards and accuracy. We also strive to provide an exceptional service for architects, so they can focus on designing and not on measuring. After seeing the standard process for putting together architectural plans using the paper-pencil method (low tech), and developing a plan using the computer-data system (high tech), we realized that measuring should be done no other way. Measuring with our data capture technique saves considerable time and aids in ensuring accuracy. We save our clients time and money by eliminating having to generate "as built" plans from scratch. We specialize in building existing condition plans for you.
Our Technology
We use a licensed measuring software program to capture data from field measurements. A small computer holds the data while our technicians gather the measurements using a laser measuring tool. This ensures that all data is accurate before the technician compiles all the information into the CAD software. At this point most of the work is complete. Then CAD standards, dimensioning and labeling take place. Next, plots of the drawings are made and the technician schedules another visit to the job site. This is considered the final audit, where all dimensions are checked for accuracy against "as built"existing conditions. Notes are taken and all changes are applied to the drawing for final submission.
Our Deliverables
All our drawings are submitted to our clients in a DWG format or on a CD/DVD. We also make a 24x36 inch plot of various drawings requested. This comes with a small fee if requested. We can create PDF's on request and can also email CAD files directly.
